Four Nighthawks earn all-league honors in SE 11

Four seniors on the Tekoa/Oakesdale football team were named to all-league honors for the SE 2B league. Earl Gaines was named a running back on offense and Riley Schell was named an offensive lineman.

On defense, Lance Lindgren was named at defensive back, and Scott Eberle was named a linebacker.

For Waitsburg/Prescott, SE league champs who won a third-place trophy in the state playoffs, junior Zach Bartlow was selected all league quarterback, Kris Cady, running back; TJ Hofer, receiver; and Tre Bannock, offensive lineman. On defense, Justin Armstrong was named defensive back; Grant Germain, linebacker; and David Brock, defensive line. All are seniors.

Coach Jeff Bartlow was named coach of the year.

Other all-league players for offense are Kyle Lindgren of DeSales, running back; Tommy Gregg of DeSales, receiver; Troy Redmann of Tri-Cities Prep, receiver; Nick Wales of DeSales, tight end; Clay DeBord of Asotin, Kroft Sunderland of Dayton, and Kincaid Schmitz of DeSales, all offensive linemen. Wales and Sunderland are juniors, and the other are seniors.

Other all-league players on defense were Nate Talton of Asotin, Colton Bickelhaupt of Dayton, and Ryan Baumgart of DeSales, defensive backs; Ben Servatius of Asotin and Jarred VerSteeg of Tri-Cities Prep, linebackers; Clint Johnson of Asotin, Victor Mata and Justin Meyer of DeSales, line; Johnathon Miller of Asotin, kick returner; and Chase Castona of TCP, kicker.
