Time Off? No Thanks!
Many people like to take time off from work during the holidays. I am not among them. I really like to be around my coworkers at this time of year. Everyone is a little more relaxed, pleasant and forgiving during the holiday season. I’ve seen this phenomena in many different hospitals during my career. It is a universal experience.
Here at WHMC, our staff is like this all year long. They are caring and loving. They put others’ needs above their own. They dedicate their lives to the service of others and live out this sacred commitment daily. It is a terrific place to work and a great place to get care when you need it.
We recognize our good fortune. We are a strong organization that enables our staff to achieve a good standard of living while performing service to others. What could be better? So, our Christmas Wish List is not for ourselves, but for others. I’d like to share it with you.
For the hungry, we wish for food.
For the ill, healing.
For the weary, rest.
For the unemployed, meaningful work.
For the poor, resources.
For the anxious, confidence.
For the weak, empowerment.
For the soldier, sailor, airman and marine, peace.
