According to the Washington State Patrol accident report, Kaur was driving a 2007 Toyota Rav4 northbound at 10:03 a.m. in snow and slushy conditions. The Rav4 went into the southbound lane and collided with a 2006 Subaru Outback wagon being driven south by Cady.
Fifteen minutes after the collision on Highway 195, officers were dispatched to an accident on Highway 26 near mile marker 115 in the Dusty area. Kamerson A. Ross, 21, Newport, and Trevor Bosley, 22, Yakima, were both driving westbound. Driving a 1995 Ford Ranger pickup, Ross slowed for traffic and began to slide sideways.
