ITEM—The mentally ill man charged with killing a stranger with a hatchet Nov. 22 is suspected of another slaying a day earlier, according to King County prosecutors. Michael LaRosa, 26, a paranoid schizophrenic, was reportedly off his medications and hearing voices when he killed Joseph LaMagno, 58, after both men left a Capitol Hill grocery. He is being held on $5 million bail.
