Rosalia 2010 Holiday band concert featuring the Rosalia Jazz Band and fifth grade through high school bands, was Wednesday, Dec. 15. Band director is Matt Parsons.
Rosalia jazz band combo played “Back to the Minors,” “Dark Gold” and “The Real McCoy.” Fifth grade band played “Jolly Old Saint Nicholas” and “Good King Wenceslas.” Sixth grade band played “Angels we have Heard on High” and “Procession of the Kings.” Middle school band played “Pachelbel’s Carols.” High school sax quartet played “Hark the Herald Angels Sing.” High school trumpet trio played “Joy to the World.” High school band played “Fanfare and Procession on an Old English Carol,” “A Cambridge Carol” and “A Jammin’ Caribbean Christmas.”
Rosalia Texaco Station fund-raiser raffle tickets are now available. Among items to be raffled are polo shirts, cookbooks, DVDs, books, Harvester Restaurant dinner certificates, a toy tractor and Spokane Indians shirts, baseballs, cards and tickets.

Janice Pittmann, chairman of the Rosalia Christmas lighting contest announced winners for the annual Christmas Lighting contest this week. Dr. Hanrahan, judge for the event, remarked how the outstanding displays showcased combinations of colors, themes and movement. Hanrahan expressed gratitude to the Chamber for sponsoring the event and thanked everyone for their participation in such a joyous holiday contest. As a former judge of the Palm Springs Christmas lighting contest, he felt the town’s decorations added to the festive feeling of the season and community.
Pat Voge donated the sign boards and Linda Pritchard created the winner’s yard signs for the top three. Prizes may be claimed at Pittmann Town and Country Store in Rosalia this week.

Senior Citizens: Faith Terrell, first; Kenneth Hames, second, and Mike Day, third.
Best Christmas Tree: Glenn Stites, first; Gary Bingaman, second, and Tyson Blank, third.
Best Christmas Theme: Lee Root, first.
