Colton and St. John Library news

Colton library access

Colton Librarian Holly Meyer can order any book in the Whitman County Library System. The library has agreements with thousands of other libraries to share books and carries CDs, books on CD, new release DVDs and downloadable audio and ebooks – all free with your library card. Check out our diverse selection.

Storytime at the Colton Library will focus on the alphabet in January. Each Monday at 10:30, they will discuss two letters of the alphabet through stories, songs, books, and color pages. Children ages 1-6 are welcome to attend.

The library will be closed Monday, Jan. 17, for Martin Luther King Day.

St. John Library survey

St. John Librarian Clancy Pool appreciates those who returned the library survey that was in the town’s January water bill. Extra copies of the survey are available at the library or by just calling the library with ideas. One result of the survey will be the addition of new evening hours in February.

Second Monday Club will meet Jan. 10. The theme this month is Summer. All students in grades 1- 4 are invited. The program starts at about 3:30 and ends about 4:15. It includes book talks, crafts and a light snack.

St. John Library will be closed Monday, Jan. 17, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
