Last week Wednesday, Dusty BB Club met in the parish hall of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in LaCrosse to make baby blankets for the free maternity clinic at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. Seven members, plus guests Alice and Margaret Mackleit, made approximately 50 blankets. Hostesses were Diane Monson and Janell Guske. The next meeting will be March 9 with hostesses Jane Aune and Suzy McNeilly. Ann Hogue will present a program on Hooked Rugs. Roll call will be “Come as you are.”
Steve and Dianne Appel went to Estill Springs, Tenn., to see Fred and Janet Appel, Jan. 6 and 7. Then they drove to Atlanta for the Farm Bureau National Convention. They got to experience snow in the south and how unprepared they are for even two inches of it. They returned home Jan. 12.
Kim and Cindy Pitts spent the weekend in Boise. They helped their grandson Kellen Hammons celebrate his fifth birthday. Other celebrants included Kellen’s parents, Jen and Ryan Hammons, and brother Becket and sister Willa.
