Endicott grads plan 100-year reunion

Plans are underway for an Endicott school reunion to mark the 100-year anniversary of the Endicott School. Three life-long friends, Carol Weitz Stueckle of Colfax, Vivian Hamilton Harder of Kahlotus and Diane Repp of Spokane are launching plans for the reunion. Stueckle and Harder are members of the Endicott HIgh School class of 1956, and Repp is a graduate of the class of 1957.

The intent is to mark the centennial year of the Endicott School which was located at the site in 1911.

The first school was established in Endicott in 1885, but the building on the school site was opened in 1911.

In 1993, Endicott observed a “We’re From the Old School” reunion which was celebrated before the school reconstruction project at Endicott. Approximately 950 people, including former students, graduates and teachers attended that reunion from all over the country.

Then Gov. Mike Lowry, also a member of the class of 1957, was among speakers at the program.

This year’s 100-year reunion will be open to all students who attended school at Endicott.

The reunion plan over the Sept. 9-10-11 weekend includes a reception, tours of the school and a dinner. The reunion dates have been slated for the weekend of the Palouse Empire Fair, and participants will have time to attend the fair.

Reservations for the dinner will be $30 per person and can be mailed to Repp at Endicott reunion, Box 9936, Spokane, 99209
