Ely will lead ‘Meet the Artist’ fans on tour of ‘inspiration & influences’

February’s Meet the Artist session will diverge slightly from the usual format when Colfax artist Timothy Ely leads a romp in history to discover how and why books were made, the materials that were used, the bindings that were invented and the contents of the books “that prove just how weird the world is.”

The Ely program, “Inspirations and Influences” will be in the meeting room at the library at Colfax at 7 p.m., Feb. 3. The series is co-sponsored by Whitman County Library and Colfax Arts Council.
