Roof project done on LaCrosse store

LaCrosse Community Pride committee had a store cleanup day last Saturday as progress continues towards opening the store. The exterior roof is complete and the building has been waterproofed. Work on the interior ceiling will start soon with work on windows, wiring and flooring to follow. A proprietor who will lease the space to operate a grocery is sought. Contact any board member if interested.

Sale of commemorative tiles continues and order forms can be obtained at the Bank of Whitman or at Jasper Trucking.

The DC Kids are selling Valentine’s Day roses to finance their trip. Residents who would like to donate vases to the group can drop them off at the school with RaeAnn Fleming or at Bank of Whitman.

To order roses contact any of the DC kids or place an order at the Bank of Whitman.

The FFA is selling pans of homemade enchiladas. Call Mr. Kimble or any FFA member.

The blood mobile will be at LaCrosse City Hall Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Blood unit credits can be used for any person needing blood with ties to LaCrosse. Credit can also be released to Blake Heaton at this blood drive.

Analynne Raine, first grandchild of Tim and Debbie Stamper, visited LaCrosse recently. She was accompanied by her parents, Jen and Aaron Dickson of Bellingham.

Youth Saturday Morning Basketball at home this weekend against Colfax. Girls play in LaCrosse and boys play in Washtucna. Sixth grade games start at 8:30 a.m .; fifth grade at 9:30 a.m .; fourth grade at 10:30 a.m. and third grade at 11:30 a.m.
