File meth sale charges

Michael A. Holmes, 25, former Colfax resident, was formally charged in superior court Jan. 26 with three drug counts. The Quad Cities Drug Task Force report noted Holmes came under suspicion after informants told officers he was supplying methamphetamine in the Colfax area. The officers said they arranged for the informant to make a controlled purchase of the drug.
