Corps official to speak at CC luncheon

Sara J. White, area environmental compliance coordinator for the Army Corps of Engineers, will be guest speaker at the Colfax Chamber of Commerce noon luncheon next Tuesday, Feb. 15, in the Harvest Home Cafe at Whitman Hospital. The public is welcome to attend.

White oversees environmental protection of public lands and waters on more than 105 river miles of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers with 26 parks, 20 boat launches, and six campgrounds, including 46,000 acres of water and 20,000 acres of lands under federal protection. She previously served as environmental compliance officer for the Grand Canyon National Park and has been a Park Ranger at Yellowstone, Glacier, Everglades and Devil’s Tower National Parks.
