Veterinarian moves practice

Lamont

Dr. Jill Swannack has moved her veterinarian practice to the Sprague building she formerly occupied.

Diane Cook will assist Dr. Swannack on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Stephanie White from Ritzville will work as bookkeeper Monday through Thursday.

The people from the Lamont Church will have a Valentine party at Lai Lai Gardens in Airway Heights Saturday evening at 6 p.m. They welcome anyone who would like to join them.

Donna Cook Harbaugh from Missoula met Alan and Diane Cook in Colfax for lunch recently.

Susan and Craig Swanson who served with the Wycliffee Translators, recently returned to Lamont after living about 10 years in Papua, New Guinea. Craig worked as accountant finance manager for the organization and Susan worked in the primary school as teacher’s assistant and in the secondary school as a receptionist. She also helped with housing. She managed book distribution where she logged unwritten languages that were translated. Craig drove eight miles to a prison ministry and provided Bibles to the prisoners. His only security at the prison was from Christian men who were in prison.

On one trip, Craig’s pickup was stolen by a “rascal” but it was returned the same day because people who lived along the route to the prison saw that Craig wasn’t driving.

The Swanson’s are presently living with Susan’s father, Earl Swift.

Bill and Bonnie Swannack and Janet Bowman drove to Ritzville, Saturday, to watch Tommie Sue Swannack help Lind/Ritzville/ Sprague basketball team defeat the Davenport team.
