Friends surprising her at lunch were Janice Pittmann and Lynn Schafer both of Latah, Betty Bruce, Marjorie Spears and Pat McHargue all of Tekoa.
During lunch Julie Pittmann, Washington State Daughters of the American Revolution Chaplain, presented Norma with the DAR State Veteran Certificate of Appreciation for her military service in the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps during World War II. Pittmann announced Norma received approval to take part in Honor Flight to Washington DC to tour the WWII Memorial later this year.
