Library penny drive launches

The sixth annual penny drive at Whitman County Library will be March 28-April 16 in honor of National Library Week. Each of the 14 library branches will collect money to fund programs or projects. National Library Week is a statewide observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries across the country. Last year, the Whitman County Library branches collected more than $1,250.
