Volunteers are joining forces to make the St. John Heritage Museum a reality for the community. Fund raising for phase one of the building renovation kicks off Saturday, April 9 with the group’s first crab feed beginning at 6 p.m. in the St. John Community Building. Admission tickets wiil be $25 per person. Menu includes crab, salad, corn bread and beverages.
The St. John Heritage Museum recently received their federal 501c3 status to operate as a non-profit agency. All donations to the museum are tax deductable and information about planned estate giving is available upon request. Contact Lydia Smith, for more details.
Phase one for renovating the building, formerly White Pharmacy, includes stripping the plaster to expose the building’s brick construction, installing a new subfloor and a heating system.
