LaCrosse Business Association met Thursday, April 7, at the Teapot Café to continue planning LaCrosse Farmer Festival scheduled for June 17, 18 and 19. There was much discussion on how to attract more participants to the kiddie portion of the parade.
One suggestion was to not allow adult participants to throw candy from their entry to prevent children from running into the street and to offset that with a bag of candy at the end of the parade for any kiddie participants. The committee also encourages any ideas or suggestions from community members be passed on to any member of the Business Association. It was agreed upon to purchase two more tables for use at the park during the festival.
Recently four generations of the Tim and Debbie Stamper family were here to visit. Baby Analynn and her mother, Jennifer Dickson of Bellingham, were here, Debbie Stamper of LaCrosse, grandma, and Mary Jane Sanker, great-grandma, completed the generations. Danielle Halverson, also a daughter of Tim and Debbie, joined in on the visiting. While here she attended the LW track practices giving the student athletes tips and suggestions.
