Two suspects arrested on drug charges in Colfax late Tuesday, May 3, were released on their own recognizance the next day after an initial court appearance. Lloyde A. Miller, 35, Clarkston, and Karra Robinson, 21, Lewiston, were arrested on probable charges of possession of a controlled substance.
According to the arrest report, officers responded to the Chevron Station where the suspects were attempting to purchase gas. The report said they needed gas to get back to Lewiston but only had $1.75.
Deputies responded to the alleged disturbance and eventually discovered a clear bag in the back containing a substance which tested positive for methamphetamine. The report said they received permission from Miller to search the car.
The arrest report said Miller was first taken to Whitman Medical Center for treatment of a hand injury he allegedly sustained from hitting a car. Formal charges have not been filed.
