John Brink, son of Larry and Di Brink, and Brandi Amsden, daughter of Ed and Brenda Getz and Jack Amsden, were married Saturday afternoon in an outdoor ceremony on the Brink family farm on Little Alkili Road south of Dusty. The reception was in the recently renovated historical Brink barn. More than 200 guests attended. Decorations and set-up were done by family members Tom Phillips, Kevin Brink, Mike Stine, Don and Carol Keeney and Lucky, Joan and Rob Myrick. Lucky and Joan Myrick made the wedding rings. Julie Roberts catered the reception. Special guest was Camille Patterson of Spokane.
Saturday, Berniece Krom, Sharry O’Hearne, Vicki Broeckel and Kim Gustafson attended the Mother’s Day buffet at Hill Ray in Colfax.
Guests over the weekend of the Brian Broeckel family were Angela’s parents, Guenter and Brigitte Scherwinski. They arrived Thursday to watch their grandson Graham participate for LaCrosse High School in a track meet in Clarkston. They stayed until Monday when they returned to their home in Mountain Home, Idaho.
Norm and Gloria Erickson were Mother’s Day dinner guests at the home of Aaron and Dana Repp and sons.
Kim and Cindy Pitts spent Mother’s Day in Spokane with grandsons Rafe and Tate Carlson and their parents, Amanda and Erik. They helped Rafe with an early celebration of his fourth birthday which is this week.
Art and Colene Sager flew to Basin City Sunday to visit with fellow Flying Farmer members and friends, Andy and Sheila Slinkard.
David and Phyllis Stueckle celebrated Mother’s Day with lunch at the Teapot Cafe in LaCrosse.
Tony and Denise Kendall, Tacoma, spent Mother’s Day weekend with her father, Oscar Broeckel.
