Patty and Brett Wieber, Spokane, were overnight guests of her sister, Karen Broeckel, Friday night. They all had attended a pre-graduation party honoring Austin Beasley and Nick Carpenter and graduation ceremonies at Waitsburg High School that evening. The women’s great nephew, Austin Beasley, son of Ken and Pam Beasley and grandson of Cliff and Jeanette Nolan, was valedictorian for his class. Beasley will attend W.S.U. next fall and major in physics.
Linda Hennigar attended a graduation party in Princeton, Idaho, Saturday for Hannah Thompson, granddaughter of Jack and Marilyn Hennigar. Hannah graduated from Deary High School and plans on furthering her education next year in Wenatchee where she will play ball.
Art and Colene Sager attended a Flying Farmers event at the Hot Lake Springs Resort near LaGrande, Ore. It is a combination restoration of a historic building, bed and breakfast, restaurant, museum and David Manual bronze sculptures studio. They took a tour and had lunch.
That evening, they were at Eastern Washington University for a concert where their granddaughter Sarah Manning participated as a member of the choral group. Sarah is a music major at EWU.
Sunday, Art Sager took Lance Miller, his son Cody and another young man on an airplane flight to fulfill requirements for a boy scout aviation badge for the two boys.
Saturday, Jim and Lee Oseychuk and son Andrus of Golden, B. C., Terry and Janet Eggers of Sandpoint, Michael and Leia Placke and daughter Scarlet of Moscow, and Patsy and Mike Kromm and Shirley Eggers of Quincy spent the day at Warm Springs Ranch on the Snake River. Shirley Eggers reports the apricots were frozen during April so there will be no apricot crop this year.
