NOTICE OF DETERMINATION OF NONSIGNIFICANCE (DNS) AND INTENT TO ISSUE ADMINISTRATIVE USE PERMIT
The Whitman County Planning Office issued a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the following project:
Verizon has requested an administrative use permit for a proposed 100-foot communications tower and 8-foot x 18-foot equipment shelter. The site is
located at Crescent Electric in the SE ? of Section 31, Township 15 N., Range 46 E., W.M., Whitman County, Washington, approximately 3 miles east of Pullman.
After review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with us, the Planning Office has determined that this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment.
The public is also notified of the intent to issue an administrative use permit for this proposal as per Chapter 19.58.050(1). Interested persons may submit written comments regarding the proposed zoning action and written and signed environmentally-focused comments on the DNS to the County Planning Office, P. O. Box 430, Colfax, WA 99111-0430, (fax) (509) 397-6210, before 5 p.m., June 30, 2011.
Copies of the DNS are available at no charge from the County Planning Office, Whitman County Public Service Building (2nd Floor), Colfax, WA 99111.
