Hodges earns state IOOF scholarship

Hodges earns state IOOF scholarship Flash Hodges, a senior at Rosalia High School was awarded the Washington State Grand Lodge Odd Fellow- Rebekah L.J. Jones Scholarship in the amount of $8,000.

Edmond Reitan Jr., Grand Secretary, Grand Lodge of Washington, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, traveled from Buckley to present this award during Rosalia’s commencement.

This award is given annually to a graduating senior who is a member of an Odd Fellow or Rebekah Lodge and plans to go to college.

Applicants are judged on the basis of scholastics, extra-curricular activities and community service.

The Odd Fellow Lodge of Rosalia awarded three $300 scholarships this year, to seniors Hodges and Tom Carrothers at Rosalia and Katherine Groom of Tekoa High.
