These reports are from the previous four issues of the Daily Bulletin in Colfax. They are reprinted here for the benefit of Gazette readers who reside outside of Colfax. Some accounts have been updated.

HYDRANT FOUNTAIN PROPOSED

Colfax Volunteer Firemen are advancing plans for a fountain and pond to be installed in the Firemen’s Memorial Park at the south end of Main Street. The fountain plan calls for a fire hydrant to serve as the source of the water flow. The water would descend down the grade of the park and into a shallow pool near the lower sidewalk.
