Viking graduates receive award, scholarships, offers 6/30/11

r area service clubs and organizations awarded over $22,000 to 12 members of the Garfield/Palouse High School class of 2011. Members of the class also received study grants and awards. The total of award and grants offered, computed of four years, exceeded $1 million.

Alex Keeney: Leendertsen-Styer memorial music scholarship: $200; John Philip Sousa award for concert band; Palouse Arts Council award: $400; Brad Baunsgard Memorial Scholarship: $700; Washington State Honors Award for ranking in the top 10 percent of the class.
