A special teen program is planned for the St. John Library next Monday, July 18, at 6 p.m.
Dr. Jacob Leachman, WSU assistant professor of mechanical and materials engineering, will bring “Conquest of Cold: Liquid Nitrogen” to St. John. Young scientists will explore the engineering of cold by making a refrigerator out of rubber bands, observe freezing with liquid nitrogen, and make liquid nitrogen ice cream. Recommended age for participation is 12 and up.
The last summer program in St. John will be July 20 with a luau at 1 p.m. Participants must have their reading recorded by July 15 if they want to get their prize bag at the last program.
