LaCrosse Community Outreach met at the Thrift Store July 6. The members made plans for the next Farm Fest breakfast in 2012. They expressed appreciation for all their customers at the breakfast and promised more great food next year. They also discussed delivering take out orders to the parade participants.
Darlene Bailey, Thrift Store manager, is scheduling a cleanup day for the storage shed and the store interior.
Wayne Miller, Food Bank manager, reported the Tuesday opening from 9 to 4 is well received. He would welcome some produce to give out.
Dinner guests at the home of Lois and Chuck Olmstead were Lois’ sisters, Mary Bertrand and Aggie Burchett, Colfax.
Christine Wagscal, Toronto, Canada was also in attendance. She was in the States to visit her mother, Aggie.
Lois Startin, and Jill Startin of Airway Heights attended a bridal shower for Chelsey Leinweber, bride elect of Buggy Startin in Colfax Saturday. Carol Stueckle hosted the “rags to riches” shower at her apartment.
A baby boy shower for Maureen Webley Hooper, Pullman, was Sunday at the LaCrosse City Hall. The shower was hosted by Jen Dickson, Bailey Weekes and Alyssa Koller. Great grandmother-to-be Della Evans, Hooper, attended. Grandmas -to –be Shann Webley and Mrs. Hooper also attended in addition to many more family and friends.
