Palouse Arts Council to bow out of grange

The status of Palouse Grange hall will change hands Aug. 1. After eight years, the Palouse Arts Council will mail the keys back to the state Grange this week.

The changeover will come after several months of discussions on a possible purchase of the hall by the Arts Council.

“We are walking out because they want too much money for our group to be able to pay,” Arts Council Treasurer Sandra Schorzman explained.

“The numbers are just too high,” said President Shandra Bohn.
