Serving Whitman County since 1877
Lois and Chuck Olmstead and Mary Bertrand were in Walla Walla Tuesday evening to attend National Night Out which is headed up by the Olmsteads’ daughter, Vicki Ruley, for the Walla Walla police department.
National Night Out occurs all over the United States to promote law enforcement within the community. Tami Olmstead was a volunteer to help with the parade which consisted of fire trucks, police, sheriff, and state patrol cars. Also in the parade was the Walla Walla county’s tank and the state prison bus to transport prisoners. Lois was a bit disconcerted when Tami waved to her from the prison bus. Lois Olmstead and Mary Bertrand attended the J.A. Jance book review of her latest best seller in Spokane Thursday. LaCrosse Outreach met at the Teapot Café Aug. 3 and discussed the holiday baskets and the giving tree.
