Sixteen seniors compete for state DYW honor 8/11/11

Sixteen high school seniors from around the state competed for Washington’s Distinguished Young Woman honor Saturday night on the WSU Beasley Coliseum stage. The Washington Distinguished Young Woman honor returned to Moses Lake for the third straight year when Kendall Earl was named the winner. Earl and Druffel were co-winners of the fitness and self-expression parts of the competition. Earl also won the overall scholastic award and was a co-winner in the talent and interview competition. Druffel was also a co-winner of the spirit award and the scholastic prelim award. Josclyn LejaMeyer from Clarkston was named second runner-up.
