Serving Whitman County since 1877
Colfax alumni luncheon was Aug. 8 in Spokane with 67 people, 56 of them grads, attending. Coach Len Pyne was special guest of honor. He was basketball and baseball coach from 1949 to 1956 and now lives in Kennewick. Charles Kasdorf, class of 1940, drove from the Bay Area of California, to join the lunch. They celebrated birthdays of Lucille Buri Wilson, who turned 80 Monday and Margarite Krueger Hill who will be 96 at the end of the month.
Monday was ‘Family Day’. We had two sets of twins – the Morgan Twins and the Culbertson Twins, Brothers John and Bill Henry, Sisters Margarite Krueger Hill and Mildred Krueger Cocking and Brothers and Sister, Joe, Don and Pat Henderson. Cousins were too many to name.
The next luncheon will be held on Monday, October 3. Save the date and join in the fun of seeing old friends. Everyone is invited. If you have any questions, please call 509-995-7192 or email sconti56@gmail.com.
