Lentil Festival 5K run brings in 360 entrants

National Lentil Festival Snap Fitness Tase T. Lentil 5K Fun Run Aug. 20 had a record 360 runners and walkers.

Runners were awarded by gender for prizes in six age categories. In the Men’s category, winner for the under 19 years category was Aaron Haugen with a time of 17:41. For 20-29 , winner was Spencer Carter with a 16:20, who pegged the overall fastest time of the race.

Brian Lindsay won the 30-39 class, and Don Worthy won the 40-49 category with a 22:24. Cecil Williams clocked 19:28 to win the 50-59 class. Over 60 category winner was Byron Dangerfield with a 28:20.

Hannah Adams won the women’s 19-under class with a 21:32. For the 20-29 category, Allix Lee-Pottratz placed first with a time of 18:10, top time for females.

Amy Cornish placed first in the 30-39 category with a time of 21:04. In the 40-49 category, Lisa Hughes took first place with a time of 25:22.

First place in the 50-59 category went to Xiaoya Cheng with a time of 34:35.
