Told you so
The Gazette’s featured article last week clearly shows what I’ve known all along — our County has partnered with a global corporation in opposition to local citizens and specifically Mr. Whitten’s current Appeals of the wind farm development.
Why is our County trying so hard to stop a local resident from having his day in court? Could his arguments be legitimate and they don’t want them to see the light of day? If wind energy were so beneficial and cost effective, why would it have to be mandated (forced) upon utility companies and the citizens? Only bad ideas need to be mandated.
The negative unintended consequences of wind energy and the financial boondoggle it has proved to be around the world, in our nation and now Washington State, is just now being exposed by the mainstream media.
I predicted this three years ago, and now I can legitimately say, “I told you so.” I have heard from some who have leased farm ground to the wind developer, who are regretting their decision, even before ground has been broken.
It might be too late to save the Palouse, but it is heartening to know that a significant number of Whitman County citizens now understand the massive scam that is wind energy.

We really appreciate the Whitman County Gazette and look forward to reading the paper each week. I do not agree with your August 24 editorial in which you think the Palestinian’s should have a divided Israel. It is obvious that you do not know the Bible. The Bible clearly states that God’s chosen people are still the Jewish people and he made a covenant with those people 4,500 years ago which is still good today. God said that he would bless those nations who bless Israel and the Jewish people and He will curse those who try to take away their land (Genesis 12:1-3). God’s word also promises a curse on any nation that tries to divide Jerusalem (Zachariah 14:1-3 and 2 Chronicles 33:7).
The last four American presidents have all tried to divide Israel and Jerusalem and give away land that belongs to the Jewish people. As a result, America has suffered one calamity after another. I do not believe for a minute that all the economic and political turmoil is going through in America is coincidental.
We need to pray that President Obama will veto the plan to divide Jerusalem and take the Bible lands of Judea and Samaria from Jewish control, leaving a half-million Jews homeless in the process. The Obama administration strongly supports a Palestinian state and it is still not certain if it will attempt to stop the 122 countries that recognize the state of Palestine on the 1967 borders. The president said in May that he supports that division. God help us if he does not change his mind on the matter. He will make his final decision at the United Nations within days of the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks by the same terrorists that want to destroy the entire nation of Israel.
