Americorps rep to visit school

A representative from Americorps will be at LaCrosse High School Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 6:15 p.m. to sign-up students 17 years or older for earning scholarship money while doing community service. Any student who is interested and 17 years or older must be in attendance at this orientation to begin recording hours.

Interested students will need to bring their social security cards (not just the number) photo IDs, and state issued birth certificate, or a US passport in lieu of the birth certificate. Also, the representative will need parent signatures on the contract of anyone under the age of 18. Applications are available at http://sstamericorps. weebly.com. The training will take place at the LaCrosse High School in Room 12. Dinner will be provided. Those who plan to attend are asked to e-mail Mr. Titus [email protected].

Friday, Sept. 16, will be individual picture day at LaCrosse School. Information will be sent home with the students this week.

Parents with pre-school children can come in at 8 a.m. for pictures which will be taken on the stage.

Jostens will be on campus for orders on Monday, Sept. 19.

LaCrosse Senior Class will sell Little Caesar pizza kits until Monday, Sept. 26.
