Washington Trust Bank to open Pullman branch

Officials with Washington Trust Bank said Monday they have secured a location for a new full-service branch in Pullman.

The company is still considering locations for a new building to house the branch. In the meantime, the bank will operate a branch in an interim site inside the Edison Retail Center at 594 S.E. Bishop Blvd.

A release from Washington Trust said they plan to open the interim branch around Nov. 1.

“We are thrilled to be expanding into this region of Washington and welcome the opportunity to begin serving the Pullman community,” said Terry Weimer, senior VP for the bank.

Steve Roberts and Kyle York, both formerly employed with the failed Bank of Whitman, have been hired to lead the branch.
