Davenport Gorillas
send invitation
Colfax football fans have received an invitation to the debut of new facilities at Davenport before the Bulldog-Gorilla game Friday. A new all-weather track has been installed, along with new goal posts and a new sky box. They were part of an expansion project for the elementary school which includes a new wing for middle school students, according to Davenport Supt. Jim Kowalkowski.
Dedication ceremonies will be on the agenda before the game and at halftime, and the Foundation for Davenport Schools plans to host a barbecue next to the football field beginning at 5 p.m. with proceeds used for scholarships.
Seating space at the game is limited due to construction still underway and fans are advised that they may want to bring their own chairs to see the action.
