Arlene M. Nagle
A memorial service for Arlene M. Nagle, 77, was Saturday, Oct. 1, at Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse with the Rev. Pastor Kathy Kramer officiating. Urn burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Palouse. Mrs. Nagle died Sept. 26, 2011, at the Whitman Hospital and Medical Center in Colfax.
Born Dec. 1, 1933, to Blanche Edwards and Felix Anthony Mulalley at Genesee, Idaho, she attended Genesee schools and then moved to Lewiston where she worked in several restaurants. She then went to work for Gambles Western Auto and was a buyer at Bon Marche until June 1971.
Arlene married Max L. McCrery, and they were divorced in 1970.
She married Roy Kenneth Nagle July 3, 1971, and moved to Palouse. They had a daughter, Betty Jo (BJ). For five years they also raised their grandson, Travis Nagle, while his father worked over seas.
She worked as a buyer for Empire Department Store in Pullman and Kari’s in Moscow and later for Palouse Welding. In 1987 she went to work at Washington State Employee’s Credit Union. She retired in January of 1993.
They loved to travel and made several trips to mainland Mexico. They also attended rodeos around the country and enjoyed camping and fishing.
They purchased a home in San Felipe on the Sea of Cortez.
She enjoyed puzzles, gardening, fishing, camping, huckleberry picking, entertaining and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Ken, daughter, Betty Jo (Dennis) Gransbery, John Nagle and wife Dory, Kelley Barton, Jill Talarico and husband Mark; Jack Nagle and Sally; 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mildred Woodyard
Long-time Washtucna resident Mildred Ellis Woodyard, 91, died Sept 23, 2011, in DeKalb, Ill. She taught at Washtucna and Prescott schools and was a longtime employee at the Washtucna post office.
Her husband, Jim Woodyard, died in 1980. Surviving are daughters Ella Woodyard, Connell, and Susan Woodyard, DeKalb, Ill; a son, Lewis Woodyard, DeKalb, Ill., and sisters Ardith McDowell, Madison, Wis., and Audrey Kurning, De Kalb.
A memorial service is planned for later in the year at Washtucna.
Merrit Elam Kittock
A memorial service for Merrit Elam Kittock, 48, Tekoa, will be Saturday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. at the Latah Country Bible Church. She died unexpectedly Sept. 23, 2011.
She grew up in Montana and lived in Arizona for 21 years before the family relocated to eastern Washington eight years ago. Among her talents were singing and making friends with anyone she met.
She is survived by her husband, Stan, and their three children. Dane, Caleb, and Hannah, and her parents, Vern and Joan of Montana, and three brothers, Tracy, Jay and Mike.
