Fire ban lifted at county parks

The fire restriction at Kamiak Butte, Klemgard and Wawawai parks was lifted at 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10. Tim Myers, Director of the Whitman County Parks and Recreation Department, said recent rains and cooler temperatures allow for lifting of the fire restrictions.

Visitors are still asked to be attentive to their campfires and cautious on the trail systems.
