Nighthawks, Wildcats collide at Colton tonight

Two teams which have been mowing down foes in the SE net league will collide tonight when the Tekoa/Oakesdale Nighthawks take their 10-0 league record to Colton. The Wildcats lone loss for their league campaign came at the hand of the Nighthawks when the two teams collided at Tekoa in round four of the campaign.

Colton is now 8-1 in league actin and 21-3 overall.

Both contenders take the court tonight after keeping pace with three-game wins in Tuesday matches.

TEKOA/OAKESDALE Tuesday night swept Rosalia 25-9 25-9 and 25-14. Cassy Mendoza had 12 kills against the Spartans, and Katie Renstrom put up 15 assists.

Briann Maley led the Sparts with three kills and an ace and Mackenzie Reddish had three blocks. Kristin Paulson had five digs.

Thursday at Oakesdale, the Nighthawks downed the Vikings 25-12 25-19 25-19 with Eden Anderson hitting 15 kills and Renstrom tapping 15 assists.

Cassie Thompson had 10 kills for the Vikings, and Holy Leendertsen had 16 assists.

Rosalia Thursday sustained a three game loss to Pomeroy on the Spartans’ court, 25-12 25-16 and 27-25. Haylee Koller put up 26 assists for the Pirates.

Maley and Shannon Carrothers each had four kills for the Spartans, and Maddy St. John had seven assists.

COLTON Tuesday downed Touchet in a three gamer in the Wildcats’ gym, 25-12 25-10 and 25-13. with Grace Druffel and Paige Vincent each hitting seven kills. Haley Moser had 12 assists and Kaitlin Druffel hit five aces off the serve line.

Colton Thursday defeated LaCrosse/Washtucna in a four-gamer at LaCrosse with Jenna Moser tagging eight kills, and Pay ton Meyer putting down five blocks.

Logan Harder had 11 kills for the Tigercats, and Kadie Whinery had four blocks.

Line score for the Colton win at LaCrosse was 25-12 25-10 15-25 and 25-11.

ST. JOHN/ENDICOTT booked a five-game win over the Vikings at Palouse in the other Tuesday match, 25-16 16-25 25-21 and 25-19. Gretchen Van Lith hits 16 kills and topped the league with 29 digs. Rachel Gfeller put down four aces., and Emily Jones had four blocks.

Cassie Thompson had 17 kills for t he Vikings, and Holly Leendertsen hit five aces, and put up 18 assists . Sarah Wilson had 13 digs.
