Dusty
Ghosties, ghoulies, things that go bump in the night and a couple of unsavory characters invaded Dusty Monday evening. Local opinion is that this was an unusual phenomenon and citizens do not expect a repeat occurrence any time soon.
David and Phyllis Stueckle were in Portland from Thursday to Saturday last week at the home of their daughter’s family, Karen and Larry Light. They attended granddaughter Emmaly’s concert at Cleveland High School.
Dick and Helen Appel attended the Washington State Sheep Producers Convention in Olympia last week.
Linda Hennigar spent the weekend with her daughter, Tami Banks. The women met in Spokane where Banks, with Hennigar’s assistance, helped with a MetLife Customer Appreciation event with the showing of the movie “Puss in Boots” at River Park Square. Hennigar was the “seeing eye person” for the character Snoopy who had trouble seeing out of his costume. The women spent the night at the Davenport Hotel. Saturday they returned to Banks’ home in Kennewick. They attended grandson Wesley’s football game where his team won and will play in the Kennewick Grid Kids Super Bowl. That evening, Linda, Tami and Wesley attended his 4H club’s potluck dinner.
Sunday, Nov. 6, missionaries Perry and Lanae Pust will be guest speakers at 11 a.m. morning worship services at the Country Bible Church south of Dusty on Highway 127. A potluck dinner will follow. Everyone is welcome.
The Dusty BB Club will meet next Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 9 a.m. at the home of Li Ochs to make baby blankets for the free maternity clinic at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. Bring sewing machines and sewing equipment. Lunch will be provided by hostesses Ann Hogue and Dianne Appel. Roll call is to bring donations for the community food bank.
