The count was up from 4,098 last year, continuing the annual increase in attendance since the first year.
At $15 per ticket, that tallies more than $63,700, although a final figure on earnings hasn’t been computed, according to Janet Barstow, one of 10 organizers of the event since the beginning.
The proceeds will be divided among seven civic organizations in Palouse.
A total of 35 percent will go to the Palouse Community Center, while 25 percent will be divided by the Lions Club and Gar-Pal Athletic Club with another 25 percent shared by Little Sprouts childcare and Palouse Arts Council.Palouse Chamber of Commerce gets 10 percent, and the Roy Chatters Newspaper and Printing Museum receives five percent.
“We appreciate all of the volunteers and the neighbors being good sports,” said Barstow.
The four-night event was staffed by about 100 volunteers each night.
