Virginia Cheney spent many years living all over the country, from Tennessee to Montana. Two years ago she moved with her husband, Jesse, and their five children to Colfax.

“When I was a teenager, my parents divorced. After that, I moved around a lot trying to find my place,” Virginia said.

Virginia said that the people of Colfax are very kind and accepting, an “open arms community.”

“I really like my neighborly neighbors,” Virginia said. “I feel like it takes the help of a community to raise children, and living in Colfax, many of my neighbors do just that.”
