Guests visit from Twin Falls

Steve and Fran Maki hosted Mike and Val Quesnell of Twin Falls, Idaho, friends since their college days, from Thursday to Saturday last week. Friday, they toured the Pataha Flour Mill in Pomeroy.

Last Tuesday, David and Phyllis Stueckle and Ann Emerson, LaCrosse, went to Coulee Dam to visit the women’s aunt, Audrey Manning, who had been in ill health. Manning died Friday morning. Funeral services are pending.

David and Phyllis Stueckle attended the birthday celebration honoring Harold Sauer at Hill Ray Plaza Saturday afternoon.

Last Wednesday, Linda Hennigar attended the Kennewick Grid Kids’ Super Bowl game in which her grandson, Wesley Banks, played for the Kennewick Bears versus the Tigers. The Bears lost 0- 6, but after the game the Bears got to ride in a Hummer limo.

Selbu Lutheran Church held their annual bazaar Sunday after a potluck dinner. Money from the bazaar goes to help support missions.

Art and Colene Sager hosted Saturday overnight guests, Perry and LaNnae Pust, Vancouver, who were featured speakers at the Country Bible Church’s Sunday worship services. They are employed by Missionary Aviation Fellowship. For 21 years, they served in Indonesia. Now, Pust is the west coast recruiter for MAF.

New winter store hours for the Dusty Country Store are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. They will be closed Thanksgiving.
