Decagon launches 28,000-foot expansion

Ground was broken Nov. 14 for a 28,000-foot expansion of Decagon Devices at Pullman. The project will convert parking lot space and land the company already owned. The new space will be two levels, with a lower level for a manufacturing shop and the upstairs slated for future growth. The $2.1 million project is expected to be complete in the middle of next summer. Decagon was incorporated in 1983 and now employees 100. The company makes scientific instruments for measuring moisture in the environment. The devices are used in such endeavors as irrigation scheduling and tracking the drought tolerance of crops.
