Obituary - James P. Dever

James P. Dever, 54, a resident of Tensed, Idaho, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, at Hospice House of North Idaho in Coeur d’Alene, after a courageous battle with cancer. He had been in failing health since April.

In accordance with his wishes, a funeral service will not be conducted.

Born Nov. 26, 1956, at Los Angeles to Donald P. and Arlene Canzone Dever, he attended schools in Edmonds and graduated from Edmonds - Woodway High School in 1975. He married Lynn C. Davidson at Edmonds Jan. 3, 1981. The couple lived in the Monroe area for several years where Jim worked as a heavy equipment operator. In 1993 the couple moved to the Tensed area where he worked as a self-employed general contractor building homes.

Jim enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors.

Survivors include his wife Lynn at the Tensed home; his daughter, Christen Lockler Post Falls; a son, Bryan Dever, Coeur d’Alene; two grandchildren; his father Donald of Edmonds, and his brother Ron Dever of North Seattle.
