Pete and Sandi Swannack recently traveled to Lake Havasu, Ariz., where Pete received instruction to become endorsed to fly float planes. Already a private pilot, he took ground school instruction and then trained in a Cessna 172 which is very similar to his Cessna 175.
He passed everything with flying colors and was very excited to earn the endorsement. On their way home, they stayed two nights with former St. John spray plane pilot, Wes Gossard.
Larry and Susan Weil were guests at the Lamont Community Church Sunday. The Weils have been missionaries in Mozambique for 15 years and are back in the United States on furlough at Sequim.
Larry is the son of Wayne and Irene Weil and lived many years on the farm of Luther Harris in the Lamont area. He attended school in St. John and graduated from high school in Harrington.
