Charges filed in Hume Road burglary

Formal charges were filed Nov. 16 against two suspects who were arrested last week after an investigation of burglaries of buildings on Hume Road. Robert Lawson, 48, Garfield, faces eight charges including three counts of burglary in the second degree, unlawful possession of firearms and possession of marijuana and methamphetamine.

The burglary charges allege he was involved in break-ins at the Hume Road site Nov. 1 and Nov. 8 with two buildings involved on one of those dates.
