Colfax driver hurt

Margaret Balzarini of Colfax was taken by ambulance to Whitman Hospital for a checkup after the Honda Civic she was driving was struck in the rear Nov. 15 at about 3:45 p.m. on the Highway 195 entrance into Colfax. According to the Colfax Police report, she had stopped on the highway in a line of cars while the driver in the first car waited to turn left up the South Main hill.

Rana Ahmed, Spokane, was unable to stop the GMC Yukon he was driving in time to avoid hitting the Civic in the rear, the report said....
