Roger W. Flock, Jr., 30, Pullman, has been summoned to appear in court Dec. 2 after seven charges involving credit card violations were filed against him Nov. 17 in Whitman County Superior court.
The Pullman police report said investigation of the credit card cases started last May 26 when they received a report from the Pullman Safeway that a man had attempted to purchase $4,000 in gift cards with a credit card. The man left the store after telling the clerk he needed to go to his car to get photo identification for the credit card and did not return. The report alleged he was apprehended at another store lot when officers identified the car he was reportedly driving.
The police report alleges they checked with the registered holder of the card who later reported back that he discovered approximately $10,000 in unauthorized purchases had been made on his card account.
Among charges filed against Flock are second-degree theft for allegedly using the card to purchase a ring set from Sam Dial Jewelers for $2,371. The rings were later returned to the store.
Other charges include identification theft, attempted identification theft, theft of the card and possession of a stolen card.
