Jones duo returns from Italy trip

Fran Jones and her son Bryan, both of Dusty, returned recently from a trip to Chatillon, Italy, where they visited her daughter Gena and family. Warren Jones, Post Falls, Idaho, spent a weekend with Fran and Bryan to belatedly celebrate his birthday.

B.B. Club members will decorate the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Parish Hall in Colfax today, Dec. 8, at 9:30 a.m. Rita Ackerman and Jane Aune are co-hostesses. Bring stocking stuffer items for senior citizens for roll call. The Christmas party will be Friday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Bring a salad or hot dish large enough to serve a family for the potluck dinner. Santa and Rudolph will make an appearance.

Diane Monson and Linda Hennigar, Dusty; Jennifer Bledsoe and Liza Dailey, Colfax, and Jamie Misner, Endicott, serenaded downtown Colfax prior to the Christmas parade last week. After the parade, Diane Monson hosted a dinner for the women and Jamie’s two children.

Kim and Cindy Pitts drove to Renton this past weekend to visit their daughter Carrie. They toured parts of Seattle including the Space Needle.

Art and Colene Sager flew to Moses Lake Saturday to attend the annual Flying Farmers Christmas party.

Floyd Overstreet was honored for 53 years of ministry Nov. 20 at the Baptist Church in Colfax by the Ministerial Association. Approximately 80 people attended the dinner. His wife, Judi, presented him with a bouquet.

Word has been received that Ethel Freeburg Mueller, former LaCrosse resident, and daughter of the late Charlie and Lizzie Freeburg, died in Kennewick last week. Funeral services were Wednesday in Richland. Charlie Freeburg owned and operated a service station in LaCrosse for many years.
