Wreckage covers Highway 195 just south of Colfax after a four-car chain accident Tuesday afternoon.
According to the report by WSP Trooper Brandon Kendall, the accident began when the front three cars slowed for a vehicle turning left off the highway into a driveway.
The rear vehicle, a 2007 Chevrolet flatbed truck driven by Joel R. Slaybaugh, 27, Endicott, failed to slow in time, striking the 2008 Dodge Ram pickup driven by William D. Harrison, 21, Endicott.
The collision sent Harrison’s truck into a 1995 Honda Civic driven by Sergio Marquez, 19, Pullman, which was then pushed into the 2011 Dodge LL SUV driven by Charles H. Speicher, 63, Middleton, Ma.
None of the drivers were injured in the crash.
All were wearing their seatbelts.
Colfax Body had to tow away all but the SUV which sustained minor scratches.
Speicher’s said at the scene he had rented the car.
